Job Scope:
- Responsible for material sourcing, order fulfillment, procurement and supplier management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive cost reduction through strategic sourcing activities in Asia in accordance with corporate supplier strategy where applicable.
- Analyzes department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocates operating budget.
- Ensure site accomplishment good inventory turns and return on capital as these are key indicators of site’s overall performance.
- Anticipate and drive strategic/localization to Low Cost Region/Asia regions, preferably with global presence.
- Develop and manage executive level relationships with all key Asian suppliers/distributors
- Manage pricing and contract negotiations.
- Drive VE/VA proactively and initiate cost competitiveness projects.
- Support, technical arbitrations/resolutions with contingencies.
Qualifications, Experience and Other Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering) or relevant discipline with minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in a contract manufacturing / electronic manufacturing service environment.
- Wide contact network of supplier for mechanical, electromechanical, OECM and manufacturers in the Asian region is essential.
- Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems such as Baan.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external customers.
- Able to travel when needed.
